Goal setting is the family tradition

I have always considered myself to be an efficient person. My parents instilled a strong work ethic in me and they made a big investment in my education.  I try to follow their example.  One of the most valuable lessons I learned from them is the importance of goal setting.  I even researched some software that would help me plan out my goals and send reminders to me so that I can be ready for any eventuality or crisis that might derail my plans. I still think the best software would include my mother’s voice emerging from my computer telling me to wake up, already, that no one ever reached their goals by sleeping all day, and then follow up with the smell of cinnamon rolls to lure me out of bed.  That meets the discipline and reward requirements of the best kind of plan to reach a personal goal.
